Process of Creating Preventive Measures in Teen Fatality Due to Motor Vehicles
This blog will document the process of collecting data and analyzing them through graphs to create correlations in order to give sound evidence for the notion that there should be something done about adolescent fatality due to driving. There will also be pictures of the hospital and development inside the hospital.

Speaking of Vaccinations...
This is a TB reactive mark. Now, volunteers have to get a Tuberculosis injecting in the top layer of their skin and let it sit for 2 days. (Imagine this. 30 minutes there, a shot that takes 5 minutes, 30 minutes back - 2 days later- Repeat.) People who don't have the bacteria that can cause Tuberculosis should have no marking or swelling on their arm after the shot and would have to go test on the other arm for a follow up. You could say I was lucky that I didn't need to go for a follow up but unlucky to realize that I had reacted to TB. It's not as bad as it sounds, I just have the bacteria that can become active and cause TB, I don't show any symptoms of TB which is the only indicator that I have it (really makes you think if this statement is redundant or can some argue observational interpretation?). I had to get a chest x-ray to see if the bacteria spread to my lungs. This hurts me more in elongating the process of volunteering than it does my lungs...
Administration Building, The Birth of My Nightmares
This building has created my nightmares that keep me up at 2 in the morning (I swear its not because I was cramming data collecting or slacking off, I swear!) I had to come to PCH multiple time (a 30 minute drive there) just to go into this building because this location holds Occupational Health. It's where I had to do training, interviews, and get my vaccinations. I find myself making this commute more often than I should and it's daunting. Oh speaking of vaccinations...
It's Been A Month, Here's What I Have Learned
Progress has been very slow and i don't mean data collecting- that I can do on my own time and gets done as soon as possible.
I mean applying to be a volunteer at the Phoenix Children's Hospital. Just to give some sort of idea, I started this application process in late February and now its mid-April. To be fair, I will be working with children which involves a delicate approach in creating a bearable atmosphere for them, that shouldn't come in just weeks. I'm going to have to work on this project even after I give my deliverable and presentation. The worry is now what do I present?
Even though data collecting isn't the major problem, it does prove tedious work as you are sifting through digits and values on a screen to find some sort of correlation. It has to be organized so that when you stop sifting and start looking broadly it should be easily understood and accessible.
Data creates the project, there is no stopping it. Manipulation of data doesn't mean changing data (that's fraud research) but using specific parts of the data to prove some point. You can do it in many ways and I'm still learning.
Keeping up blogging is hard work. I've gone through training that doesnt allow to disclose many things, so I have to be careful of what I'm saying. There's multiple things I must leave out and I'm trying to find snips and pieces that I could post.
4/16- I've collected some photos and videos to share which will be uploaded soon.

Streamlining
Instead of having (50 rows of data signifying states) X [3 snapshots (At least, some years had up to 12 snapshots so this amount right here determines how high and low it could actually be)] X (12 years) which is at least 1800 rows of column we have found a better method of collecting data.
I finished with only needing to do [12 rows (which represents years) X [50 tabs (separate tabs for each state)] which amounted to 600 rows.
Basically went from 1800 rows minimum to exactly 600.

Finished Step 1!
I can't provide a picture because of how much private information I have in my email but...
I have completed the entirety of Step 1 (which was 4 tests which was covered by 49 pages and 5 videos of material).
Now I wait for 5 days to book my interview for Step 2.
Step 3 will be a Health Screening and if everything goes well, I'll officially be apart of the PCH team!
By the way. It's 10:47 PM
